Ashfest 2014August 27, 2013August 27, 2013Justin

Dan, Logan, and Justin got together in June 2013 at Taos Clay.  Justin and Logan gave a wood firing workshop, and Dan attended with his buddy Ken from Bailey, NC.  After a great week of loading, firing, eating, hanging out, and unloading Dan asked Logan and Justin if they would like to do a firing workshop in “Mama”.  Mama is Dan’s 700 cu ft Anagama located on Dan’s blueberry farm in Bailey, NC.  With that, the plan is unfolding.  When participants arrive, the kiln will be ready to load.  Each person is entitled to 10 cu ft of space, and must bring their work already bisque fired.  Glaze and slip will be ready onsite, bring all bisque unglazed.

With a combined 50 + years of wood firing experience, this is sure to be unbelievable event.  Check back often for updates to the site as we gather more information, and we hope to see you in Bailey…
